Holiday, Florida provides a brief respite during the drive to Tarpon Springs. Although locally referred to as a city, it is in fact, an area of subdivisions that has become known as Holiday, Florida.

Holiday Lake Estates is the largest subdivision in the area commonly known as Holiday, Florida. Real Estate values can still be found in this area and its close proximity to Pinellas County allows the real estate market to offer pre-existing home sales at a much better value than similar homes in Pinellas County and a lower homeowners tax assessment. Anclote State Park is located in Holiday and provides a public beach, picnic areas and a six slot boat ramp with ample parking areas. This is also the closest boat ramp to the new Anclote Island State Park and the Anclote River. Florida Power and Light also operates a coal fired power plant in the Holiday area.
