This is the “other city by the bay” but unlike the one with the Golden Gate Bridge, Tampa has something better. The Florida sun and beaches. Against the west side of Florida, this is the second largest city in the state and one of the top 100 in the US in terms of population. This is Florida’s western big player and there is no end of the variety in both people and activity.

Living in Tampa, you have options from modern condos and high rises to old southern charm and everything in between. Playing in Tampa is even more fun with the nightlife in Soho, which is named after the street South Howard, not the place in England.

Served by it’s own international airport, Tampa wraps around Tampa Bay and has more than enough beaches to keep the most dedicated sand ape happily tanned for the rest of your life. Golfing, boating, tennis, and every other type of outdoor activity is somewhere in Tampa, so those of you with smaller apes will never have to hear “there’s nothing to do!” again. Well, you’ll hear it, but you will always have an answer that they can’t deny.

Tampa is located at the junctures of I-74 and I-4, with Orlando only an hour and a half to the east along I04 west. That means that you have the convenience of access to the theme parks and fun without having to deal with the tourists all the time. Not a bad situation at all. Well, Tampa has it’s own tourists, but those are the kind that just want to golf and lay on the beach, so you don’t have to deal with hordes of ride-sick little apes.
